Beauty Review: St Ives Scrub

“It’s like brushing your teeth for your face”
That was the hilarious description my guy friend gave me, when he tried some of my St. Ives Apricot Scrub. He had been making fun of all my lotions and potions in the bathroom and I told him that he couldn’t knock it til he tried it, so he did. His reaction was the same as mine the first time although his choice of words was more amusing.

With so many great things back a come in the 90s throwback we’re I thought I’d do a beauty throwback to one of my favourite skin care product.

I’ve been a St. Ives fan for almost 10 years now and it’s still an all time classic, especially if they say they have bad skin. My skin is naturally normal and thankfully I’ve never had acne, but I do get eczema and as I’m a big fan of full face make up, I’m always aware of looking after my skin.

If some how you have never tried St. Ives (say what?!) then I would definitely recommend you give it a try. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub (Invigorating) daily, as a face wash and love how soft it makes your skin. You only need a small amount of it, I usually massage it into my face for 2-3mins just get make sure you get all the dead skin.

I have tired the Gentle before put found I didn’t enjoy the soft feel. Invigorating have course sand in the scrub which gets deep into the pores leaving your skin scrubbed and clean. While I always love trying the new products that come on the market, sometimes it’s nice to have a staple product you can rely on time and time again.

lots of lovesignature
