Oops… I moved to Leeds

New city, new home, same style! Sorry for the radio silence over the last few months… but I’ve moved! I’m so excited to have moved back up to the North and be living in one of my favourite cities in the UK – Leeds. While moving can be very stressful, I have had lots of great friends on hand to help and all of my Christmas presents have come early in the form of Ikea vouchers. I’ve been obsessing over interior design on Instagram these last few months getting great inspiration for a stylish modern look for my new flat. I’ve gone for a white and grey look which I think has worked perfectly. Here are few bits I’ve picked up in order to achieve this look.

Living room

Rocco Frame | Silk Orchid | Grey Hampen Rug | Owl Candle |  Ikea Kallax Unit (4 cube) |
Ikea Kallax Unit (8 cube) | Grey Soft Throw | Fabric Storage Box | Dining Set | Glass Balls Lamp

I got these amazing Kallax Cube Units from Ikea that were super easy to assemble and work as bookcase and with Matalan Fabric Storage Boxes. I love how stylish they look and, despite my boyfriend’s nerd crap, (sigh) they make things look tidy and cosy. I also raided Wilko for this lovely little lamp to go with my Rocco style photo frame. The best thing about a white colour scheme is that’s easy to match things up.

Every blogger needs a good desk to work at, but as I don’t have a ton of space I chose this cute Breakfast Dining Set from Tesco to double up as desk and dining table. While it’s not super sturdy, and will need replacing next time I move, it’s very affordable and services its purpose as a place to sit and eat at. (It also has a great wood grain surface perfect for flat lay photos).

My very last Ikea buy were my great new find, the Skubb drawer storage compartments. Absolute life saver for all my beauty and hair products. It has made getting ready so much easier! I will definitely be getting more for all my drawers.

The best part of my new move is that my new flat is slap bang in the centre of all that’s happening in the city. The new Victoria Gate shopping centre with it’s giant John Lewis is just round the corner… (so many things I want to buy). With all the amazing vibrant nightlife of bars and restaurants right on my doorstep now, I’m sure they’re will be many blogging reviews of great places to go out coming soon.

With Christmas just around the corner I wanted to do a quick life update before all the main festivities start.

lots of love
